How to Make $100 a Day (27 Easy Ways)
There is no great mystery when it comes to how to make $100 a day. All it takes is a bit of creativity, some hard work, and a bit of sacrifice of your time.
This guide covers twenty-seven proven ways to make extra money in a variety of ways, for example, from online activities, in your current job, or from providing services to your local community.
You’ll notice that each of the money-making methods varies in terms of their effectiveness; a number will be excellent examples of how to make quick money in one day, while others will probably only achieve one hundred dollars a month or so unless you combine them with a few other methods to help you reach the $100 a day target.
Luckily, you’re free to mix and match these methods whichever way you want, and once you do, you’ll realize that you’re able to set your sights higher with the aim of figuring out how to make 200 dollars in one day, or more.

There is no shortage of ways to make money online, and the following examples will allow you to take advantage of the power, scale, and flexibility of the internet to earn money on your terms.
Want to make money from home? No problem. Want to make money while traveling? Sure thing. Want to make extra money in the evenings after your 9-5? Again, not a problem.
Here are 15 examples of how to make $100 a day online:
- Start a Blog
There are many ways to monetize a blog that make it a great way to earn some extra money online, for example, you can use paid advertising, sponsored posts or affiliate marketing to name just a few.
There are countless examples of bloggers who earn a good side income from their blogs, or who choose to blog full-time. As a result, blogging should be a serious contender in your journey to figure out not only how to make 100 dollars, but also how to make 200 dollars in one day, and likely even more.
Making serious money from blogging shouldn’t be a pipe dream either, as some bloggers earn upwards of six or seven figures a year from their blogs, meaning the sky is the limit in terms of how much you can make.
Click the banner below to find out step-by-step how to start a blog that will set you up with the best chance of making money.
- Start a YouTube Channel
YouTube is another proven way to earn extra money, because, like blogging, it is a full-time career path for many people.
There are several ways to make $100 a day with YouTube, with the most common method by far being advertising revenue. YouTubers typically earn between $3-$5 per 1000 video views.
Don’t worry if 20,000+ daily video views sound unrealistic though, as many successful YouTubers boost their earnings through other methods, for example:
- Sponsored videos (a company pays you to talk about, or feature, their product or service).
- Promoting their own products and services to their audience (e.g., selling branded clothing through their Shopify store).
- Creating review videos of various affiliate products and services (money is then earned when a product is purchased using their affiliate link).
Adding these additional ways of making money could make the difference between earning less than one hundred dollars a month, to regularly earning a couple of thousand dollars or more.
- Write an eBook
Do you have a specific skill that other people want to learn? Perhaps you prefer fiction, and you’re particularly good at writing short stories?
Regardless of what you want to write about, creating eBooks can be a great way to earn extra money.
Gone are the days where you would need a dedicated publisher to get your content out there, as it’s now quicker, simpler and cheaper than ever to publish your writing in the form of an eBook.
There is no shortage of places to sell your eBook too, for example, on Amazon for reading on their popular Kindle devices, or, you can make a PDF version that is electronically sent to customers after they’ve purchased from a dedicated webpage, blog, or auction site such as eBay.
The main requirement for how to make $100 fast won’t be creating the eBook itself (although this is clearly important!), it will be marketing it effectively. It doesn’t matter how good your content is, as people can’t buy something they don’t know about. I recommend checking out the following resource if you’re serious about learning how to make quick money in one day using eBooks:
- Create an Online Course
Creating an online course can be a great option to earn extra money if you’ve got a skill that you can teach others.
For example, if you can show knitters how to perfect their netted stitch, poker players how to improve their bluffing skills, or bloggers how to get to the top of Google’s rankings, then selling an online course could be an ideal way to make 100 dollars a day.
As with eBooks, there has never been a better time to create an online course, because there are many platforms available which simplify the process for you.
My recommendation is Teachable (check out my full Teachable review), which provides everything you need including:
- Complete flexibility to build online courses using video, images, text, or PDF presentations.
- A logical, easy-to-use interface with content organized into schools, courses, and individual lectures.
- An easy-to-use course builder that will help you create your course as quickly as possible.
- The ability to accept PayPal and Stripe payments.
- Free and paid plans are available.
You can find out more about Teachable by signing up to their free weekly webinar. Simply click the banner below to get started.
- Create an Online Store
Creating an online store will allow you to sell products online, for example, products that you make or items that you buy to resell for a profit, taking you closer to your goal of figuring out how to make $100 a day.
A couple of the most popular platforms are as follows:
Shopify: This is one of the go-to options for creating a store online because it provides everything you need, including a fully customizable website, online store, and blog, the ability to accept credit card payments. You can also sell on channels such as Amazon and Instagram.
With Shopify, you can create a standalone store on a dedicated website, e.g., mystore.com., helping your store stand out from the competition.
Etsy: This is a global marketplace that brings together buyers and sellers of creative goods, with the majority of products sold being arts-and-crafts based products, jewelry and beauty products.
Unlike Shopify, all Etsy sellers’ products appear directly on the Etsy website side-by-side, allowing potential customers to compare the pricing and features of similar products. As a result, selling on Etsy can be highly competitive.
- Become a Virtual Assistant
A virtual assistant is someone who can assist a business owner with specific tasks for an agreed fee, all while being location independent, i.e., they don’t need to be located near the business to work. It can be an excellent option if your goal is to figure out how to make $100 a day from home.
The requirements of a virtual assistant can vary from business to business, but some of the common tasks include:
- Customer support
- General business functions, e.g., processing payments/refunds
- Writing new content for the company’s website
- Managing the company’s social media marketing
- Managing the company’s email marketing
- Maintaining the WordPress blog of the company
The more skills a VA has, the better, but don’t be put off if there are specific technical areas that you lack experience in, as excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn are arguably more important.
Being a virtual assistant has significant earning potential (between $30-60 an hour in the United States), meaning it is perhaps better suited to a list about how to make 200 dollars in one day, rather than this one!

- Become a Freelance Writer
If you enjoy writing, being a freelance writer could be a great way to earn extra money. You can leverage your time and skills to get paid for writing blog posts, articles, or general website content, etc.
The best part? Freelance writing usually comes with a great deal of flexibility, allowing you to take on as much or as little work as you like, and it’s location independent meaning it’s a great way to make money from home or while traveling.
Need more motivation? There are plenty of examples of freelance writers who earn over $45+ an hour, meaning that as with the virtual assistant suggestion, it’s probably better suited to a list about how to make 200 dollars in one day!
If you’re interested in freelance writing to grow your side income, click the banner below to learn more about it:
- Offer Other Services Online
In addition to being a virtual assistant or freelance writer, there is no shortage of other professional services that you can offer online, for example:
- Social media marketing
- Graphic design
- Search engine optimization (SEO)
- Web development
Your ability to offer these services will depend on your experience, or your willingness to learn a new skill.
Once you’ve identified a service you’d like to provide online, there are a lot of online platforms that can help you find work. Here are two of the most popular options:
- Become a Proofreader
The role of a proofreader is to ensure that written copy is professional and free from errors in terms of punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
It shouldn’t be confused with copyediting, which involves significant changes such as moving text and paragraphs around and deleting content that doesn’t need to be there.
Proofreading occurs after copyediting, and it deals with the small-scale changes required to perfect and finalize a piece of copy.
As with the other examples in this section, it is an ideal option if you’d like to know how to make $100 a day from home, or while traveling. You’re free to take on as much or as little work as you like, and you can easily fit it around your schedule or circumstances.
The best bit? An English degree isn’t 100% required, as there are plenty of proofreading opportunities available that don’t need a degree.
You can learn more from the free workshop that is available via the banner below:
- Get Paid to Test Websites
UserTesting.com provides a way for you to get paid for expressing your opinion on websites and apps.
You’ll be able to provide video or audio feedback in all manners of things such as usability or clarity, which developers can then use to improve the website or app in question.
You’ll be required to complete a set of tasks during each assessment, with $10 earned via PayPal for every 20-minute piece of feedback you provide.
While it won’t make you rich by itself (you can probably expect to earn under one hundred dollars a month), it can be a great addition to the other items on this list to help you earn some extra income.
- Get Paid to Teach English Online
Teaching English online can be a great, flexible way to make some extra money.
Provided you have a reliable internet connection, along with a webcam, microphone and a quiet area for lessons, you have the ideal setup to work from home or while traveling the world.
While the majority of companies require you to be a native English speaker (or near-native English speaker), there are a few options available depending on whether you already have or are currently working towards, a degree:
If You Have a Degree: VIPKID
VIPKID is an online education company that enables North Americans to teach English to Chinese students aged between 4 and 12 years old, with earnings up to $22 per hour.
There is no requirement for speaking Mandarin or Cantonese, but it’s worth remembering the following:
- You need to have a degree (this can be in any subject).
- You need to be North American.
If You’re Currently Working Towards a Degree: QKID
QKID is another online platform for teaching English to Chinese students, with earnings up to $20 per hour.
As with VIPKID, there is no requirement for speaking Mandarin or Cantonese, but there are a few differences:
- While you don’t need a degree, you need to be enrolled in University.
- You need to be physically based in Canada or the United States.
- Get Paid for Searching the Web
Wouldn’t it be great if you could earn extra money for something you already do every day?
Well, it turns out you can.
Swagbucks allows you to get paid for searching the web, and the more you search, the more you earn. It couldn’t be easier!
It’s free to signup, and their search function is powered by Yahoo! meaning you’ll continue to get the trusted search results that you want and need while getting paid.

- Complete Paid Surveys
Paid surveys are one of the easiest ways to make extra money online.
While they won’t make you rich by themselves (you can probably expect to earn about one hundred dollars a month from surveys alone), they can easily be added to other options in this article to help in your quest of learning how to make 100 dollars a day.
There are many platforms available that will let you share your opinion on various products and services in exchange for money, but one of the most popular, and my favorite, is Swagbucks.
The amount you get paid depends on how many paid surveys you complete. Each online survey pays differently, with the amount usually depending on how long it will take (this can be anywhere from 1 minute to 30 minutes). Swagbucks claims that most surveys pay between 40 to 200 SB points (100 SB – $1), with some offering as much as $50.

- Sell Your Stuff Online
From books to old clothes, we all have loads of ‘junk’ lying around. But as the saying goes, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure, so why not get rid of yours in a bid to make a quick $100 or more?
One of the most popular platforms to sell your stuff online is eBay, which makes it super easy to earn some extra money from the things you’ve got lying around your house or garage.
You can choose whether to sell your stuff at a fixed price, or you can allow people to bid on it in an auction to try and make as much money as possible (don’t worry, you can set the minimum price you will accept to protect yourself).
You can even charge extra to cover things like postage and packing, or state that larger items that are too big to be posted are only available for collection. Simple!
- Get Paid to Watch Videos
I’ve already mentioned Swagbucks a couple of times in this list (they pay you to search the web and for completing surveys), but they also offer a third way to increase your earnings, and that’s through getting paid to watch videos.
As with the majority of Swagbucks activities, you won’t earn a fortune from this one. That said, I’m sure you watch more than enough television and online videos for free anyway, so it’s hard to complain at the prospect of getting entertained and paid at the same time.
Although it may seem obvious at first glance, you’d be surprised at how many people focus on finding new ways to earn extra money, rather than trying to maximize the earning potential of their current jobs.
Here are three tips which could help you earn extra money from your day job:
- Ask for a Raise
As the saying goes; if you don’t ask, you don’t get.
Why not muster up the courage and ask for a raise in your current job? It can be one of the quickest and easiest ways to grow your income.
There will probably be a few factors that will impact how successful this approach is, including:
- How long you’ve been with the company.
- The value you offer the company and the salary you already receive relative to others.
- How well the company is doing financially.
The more of these factors that are working in your favor, the better, and they could indicate that the time is right (or wrong!) to ask for a raise.
It’s unlikely that you’ll earn an extra $100 a day (unless you’re already making a considerable salary or you’re massively underpaid currently!), but even an additional $100 a week, or one hundred dollars a month is a step in the right direction towards your financial goals.
Check out the following guide for tips on how to ask for a raise:
- Work Overtime
If you get paid on an hourly basis (as opposed to earning a salary), working overtime may be the key to how to make quick money in one day.
Most employers offer an additional financial incentive to people to work overtime, for example, time and a half is a typical rate of pay. So, if you currently earn $15 per hour, your overtime rate could be $22.50, meaning it would take just under 4.5 hours to make $100 extra.
- Swap Shifts
Does your job offer a shift pattern? If so, swapping shifts could be an easy way to grow your income.
Many employers will pay more for less desirable shift patterns, for example, those requiring late-night working (as opposed to 9-5), or those that involve weekend working (as opposed to Monday to Friday).
Now, before you get your hopes up too much, this method is unlikely to pay massively more (perhaps in the region of one hundred dollars a month or so more), but as with asking for a raise, it’s a step in the right direction towards your financial goals.
Despite the power of the internet, it would be a mistake to dismiss what is available right on your doorstep to help you make extra money.
Here are nine examples of how to make $100 a day by serving the local community:
- Drive for Uber or Lyft
Uber and Lyft are popular ride-sharing alternatives to traditional taxi cabs, and they’re now available in over 400 cities (and growing) around the world.
If you own a car and a clean license, these services can be an excellent example of how to make $100 fast.
The hourly pay will differ from city-to-city and will depend on when you drive (late evenings to early mornings can attract ‘surge pricing’ where you’ll earn more), but the average after gas, tax, and insurance is estimated to be just under $10 an hour.
Choose to drive during the most profitable times, and you’ll easily be able to make 100 dollars a day to reach your goal.
- Deliver Food
If you own a car, a popular alternative to ride-sharing is to get paid to deliver food. From the local pizza restaurant to the famous fast-food chains, your job will be to act as the middleman (or middlewoman) between hungry customers and their favorite restaurants.
Don’t own a car? Never fear, as companies like Uber Eats also allow you to deliver food using a bicycle or motorbike.
You have complete flexibility to work around your current schedule, whether that’s for the odd hour here and there, during a specific evening after your regular job, or only at weekends. It’s entirely up to you.
Uber Eats drivers can expect to take home between $8-$12 per hour after accounting for vehicle expenses. When you include tips (which you keep 100% of), delivering food for Uber Eats emerges as a clear example of how to make 100 dollars a day.
- Get Paid to Walk
What could be better than getting paid to do something that’s good for you?
If you’re a keen walker who regularly does their 10,000 steps a day, Sweatcoin is a service that could help make exercise a lot more enjoyable, and profitable.
The concept is pretty simple – the Sweatcoin app will track and verify your outdoor steps using your phone’s sensors and GPS location, with those steps then getting converted into their currency, Sweatcoins.
It won’t make you rich (You earn 0.95 Sweatcoins for every 1,000 steps, with it taking 20,000 Sweatcoins to make $1000 in PayPal cash) and you won’t make 100 dollars fast, but if you’re walking a lot on a daily basis, it’s a great way to profit from something that you’re already doing anyway.
- Advertise Services on Craigslist
If you’d like to learn how to make $100 a day, advertising services on Craigslist could be an excellent way to do it.
Provided you’ve got a bit of spare time each day or week, Craigslist can be a great place to advertise various services that you can offer in exchange for money. There are plenty of services that could be the key to how to earn $100 fast, for example:
- Pet sitting/walking
- Mowing lawns/light gardening
- Painting houses, rooms or fences, etc.
- Cleaning houses
- Washing cars
- Cleaning gutters
Even at a modest rate of just $15 per hour, it would take less than seven hours of your time to reach your target.
You could like charge a lot more than this for some tasks, though, meaning you’d be well on your way to figuring out how to make 200 dollars in one day to boost your income even more!
- Make Money from Renting a Room
Do you have an extra room in your house?
Depending on where you live, there’s a good chance that you could rent out this unused space, making this an excellent strategy for people looking at how to make $100 a day from home.
If you aren’t interested in a long-term tenant, another option is to use Airbnb, allowing you to rent a room on a per-night or weekly basis (or your entire home while you’re on holiday, for example).
The amount you can earn with Airbnb will depend on a few factors (e.g., whether or not your home is close to a major city or popular tourist attractions), but regardless, any money earned is mostly profit, and it doesn’t typically take that much work.
- Rent Out Storage Space
If you don’t like the idea of a stranger staying in your home, another option is to rent out your spare room as storage space. You could also do the same with your attic, or your basement/garage if your house has them.
You won’t earn a massive amount from this (likely under one hundred dollars a month), but renting out your free space can be a great addition to your “how to earn $100 a day” list when combined with a few of the other methods of making money on this list.
As with renting a room, you can advertise your free space in places like Craigslist or a local classifieds website.
- Rent Out Your Car
Renting your car out could be a good option if it sits idle for certain periods of time, for example, at weekends, or while you are away on holiday.
It’s as simple as listing your vehicle’s details and the rental price you’re charging, details of when the car is available, and it’s location, and waiting for people interested in renting your car out to contact you.
How much you can earn will depend on the type of car you own, its condition and location, and also how much similar cars are renting for in the same area.
It probably won’t be first on your list of how to make 100 dollars per day, but it should be a contender for earning some extra income relatively easily.
- Rent a Parking Space
Do you have a garage, driveway or parking space that you don’t use? You could make extra money by renting this out.
It probably won’t work everywhere, but there could be quite a bit of interest in a parking space that is situated close to the center of a city, sporting venue, or any other location where there aren’t enough parking spaces to meet demand.
You won’t make a significant amount from this method alone (perhaps under one hundred dollars a month unless there is serious demand), but every little helps in your quest to earn some extra money, and it can easily be added to other items on this list to boost your income.
- Have a Yard Sale
If you don’t like the idea of selling your old stuff online, a great alternative is to organize a yard sale. Not only will it help in your quest of learning how to make $100 a day, but it can also be a great way to get organized and free up some space in your home or garage.
It’s important to spend sufficient time upfront organizing and pricing what you’ll be selling, and also displaying it in an attractive way to entice people in your community to part with their money.
Also, don’t forget to advertise your yard sale on Craigslist, in local classifieds websites or newspapers, and in Facebook groups to make as many people as possible aware of it.
Here’s an excellent resource to help you plan your yard sale:
I hope this guide provides a good primer to help you figure out how to make $100 a day.
You’ll find that once you’ve reached this amount, the sky really is the limit. Don’t forget to keep pushing yourself, for example, you could set a new goal of figuring how to make 200 dollars in one day, and then 300 dollars, and so on.
As I mentioned in the introduction, all it takes is a bit of hard work, time, and some creativity.
